This lantern began as bright green metal, a color that still lingers inside the upper cavity and along the base. I transformed it with layers of glossy black paint and hand‑sculpted clay florals, each painted by hand. In true Veil & Flame fashion, a touch of bronze shimmer was added to breathe life, depth, and a little mystery into the piece.
Because of the painted finish, this lantern is meant strictly for indoor display. The surface can chip or fade if handled roughly or exposed to the elements. It pairs beautifully with darker, moodier interiors and is best suited to hold an LED candle, fairy lights, or even a small trailing plant like ivy. (Anything with an open flame is not recommended—the paint is flammable.)
The glass panels feature a starburst pattern that catches and scatters light softly. The lantern stands approximately 7–8 inches tall with a 5‑inch diameter. It does open, though the latch can be a bit finicky when closing again. Intended as an indoor décor piece.
